Permanent jewelry is jewelry such as bracelets, anklets, necklaces and rings using precious metals including, but not limited to, sterling silver, gold fill or 14k gold that is custom fit in person and welded on permanently without any clasps
Permanent jewelry lasts between 1 and 15+ years depending on the type of metal you choose. The lifetime of your jewelry will depend on you. GCJ only uses the highest quality sterling silver, gold fill and solid 14k gold (white or yellow) tested for authenticity and tarnish resistance. Follow aftercare instructions for best results
• sterling silver... 1 to 2+ years
• gold filled... 2 to 10+ years
• 14k gold...15+ years
Yes! If you need to remove your jewelry for any reason GCJ will happily remove it for you free of charge. You can easily remove the permanent jewelry yourself, just be sure to cut at the welding point so the jewelry can be re-welded in the future.
Yes, with one exception. The only time you will have to remove your jewelry is for an MRI or surgery. Also, keep in mind the lifetime of your jewelry depends on your lifestyle and aftercare. Avoid prolonged exposure to heat, saunas, hot tubs, pools, ocean water, perfumes, lotions and chemicals. Please contact GCJ for removal and re-welding options.
Yes. Gypsy Canyon Jewelry doesn't have to be removed at TSA and will get through metal detectors
Yes, unless noted otherwise. All of the chains and charms at Gypsy Canyon Jewelry have been selected and tested by my supplier for quality control. I use 14k gold, gold filled and sterling silver
Yes, but with exceptions. 14k gold is best for people who spend a lot of time in pools or jacuzzis. Gold filled and Sterling Silver may tarnish faster with extended exposure to the chemicals in pools and jacuzzi tubs.
Perfumes, lotions and other chemicals as well as your body's PH balance can cause your jewelry to tarnish faster and prematurely. These chemicals may also cause discoloration. Sterling Silver and Gold Fill will tarnish over time. Please follow all aftercare instructions. Use a mild soap or body soap and polishing cloth or soft bristle toothbrush to clean your jewelry regularly.
Use an aftercare kit as needed. Wash and pat dry your jewelry daily (in the shower works best). Use a polishing cloth. Avoid prolonged exposure to heat (sauna) and chemicals (pool, sulfur, perfumes, lotions). Your body heat may cause chains to stretch. Black "tarnish" like marks are usually an indication of an iron deficiency. Aftercare is essential for the longevity of your jewelry. Aftercare kits are available.
Yes!! If you live too far away to participate in a bonding experience or your lifestyle isn't conducive to wearing permanent jewelry, but you'd still like your own custom piece or to match your family and friends, I offer clasps as an alternative. It's also a great option for kids
Life happens. Sometimes jewelry gets caught and breaks, sometimes the chain doesn't work with your lifestyle or you need to cut it off and reweld it. Depending on the situation, Gypsy Canyon Jewelry will reweld your jewelry for a small fee. In rare cases where the weld is weak and it breaks at the weld point, we will reweld it free of charge. Contact Gypsy Canyon Jewelry for your options and rewelding appointment.
